Childhood Regression
Many of us in today's busy world did not have an ideal childhood. Born to parents who themselves were raised without getting what they needed, most of us do not know what it's like to be truly nurtured and loved for the unique being that we are. We were not treasured, listened to, seen, heard, or understood by loving parents who had the time and the inner development to truly cherish us. Instead we were loved for being cute, cleaning our room, or getting good grades. This conditional love has fostered accomplishment-oriented adults who focus on the achievement of their goals as their only route to self-love.
Many of us also come from single parent and/or dysfunctional families. Struggling to cope with the pressures of everyday living, these parents often had even less time, money, and inner resources to raise us with. As children we may have known the pain of having gotten lost in the shuffle, forcing ourselves to become invisible and to just stay out of the way. We were left to ourselves, television, day care, peer groups, and inadequate schools to give us the foundation that all children need.
Still expected to develop into fully functioning and productive adults, we still feel these wounds. This pain continues to expresses itself as feelings of inadequacy, anger, depression, lack of self worth, and a host of other ways. This has contributed to creating a generation of needy, stressed, anxious, and depressed adults who focus on materialism and material security to keep their deep inner pain at bay, and unfortunately also have little of themselves to give to their own children.
Then there are those who have been physically, emotionally, or sexually abused by parents, siblings, or others as a child. Vulnerable, wounded, and frightened, you did the best you could just to survive and grow up. Now that you are an adult you may wonder why depression, bad choices, and disfunctionality haunt you now, not knowing that the pain, trauma, and damage you experienced as a child is still carried with you, affecting your moods, choices, outlook, and attitudes every day of your life.
This is because the ENERGY of these childhood experiences is still with all of us on an unconscious level. The trauma, pain, and distortions that these childhood experiences produced is still carried inside us in our subconscious, creating emotional wreckage and disfunctionality from a deep energetic level.
This energy can be released in regression therapy.
By regressing back to the unconscious memory of these traumatic incidents, you can access and release the energy trapped within them. As you express all the pain, rage, fear, disappointment, etc. that is trapped there, in the context of these causative experiences, you release the energy trapped inside. This also begins the process of unraveling the distortions from the past caused by your pain, fear, helplessness, hopelessness, inadequacy, etc., that affect your ability to fulfill your potential today.
Thus childhood regression therapy can result in profound change and healing on all levels of our being - Emotional, Mental, Physical, and Spiritual.
